  • Instructions for Plain-Paper Submissions for the Midterm Exam.

We recommend that you use the preprinted template for the midterm. If you nevertheless want to submit your solutions on plain paper, this is also possible if you include the following:

    • Start with a handwritten title page including:
      • The title “Functional Analysis Midterm”
      • Your family and first name
      • Your matriculation ID
      • The current date (04.05.2021).
      • Sign the title page to confirm that you have read and follow the rules for participating in the midterm and to confirm the authenticity of your solution document.
      • Add a table for the grading points for each problem and the total (as in the preprint).
    • Each further page must contain your name and the problem number discussed on this page on the top.
    • Number your pages starting with the title page.
    • For technical reasons each page should only contain the solutions to at most one of the four problems. You may solve multiple subproblems (a),(b),… on the same page, but you must start a new page for any one of the four problems.

    • Upload Deadline on 13:00 o’clock.

The midterm is an open-book exam. This means you may use all materials from the course and other off-line material (books, e-books and personal notes).

Not permissible are interactive and on-line materials like calculators, mathematics software, google, etc. The solutions have to be worked out independently by each participant without the help of others.

You may write your solution with pen and paper or directly digitally. In any case your solutions must be handwritten.
